Installing the weBoost Home Studio is quite simple and can be done in a few steps:
- Attach the whip antenna to the Home Studio amplifier
- Place the Home Studio amplifier in the room where stronger cell signal is needed
- Locate the area with the best cell signal outside your home
- Mount the Yagi antenna where you have the best cell signal and point it towards your nearest cell tower
- Connect the RG6 cable to the outdoor Yagi antenna, route it into your home or office, and connect it to the amplifier
- Connect the power supply to the amplifier and power it up.
You’ll need some general handyman skills but nothing too specialized. If you prefer having someone else do the job, you can also contact your local general contractor, electrician, or anyone who’s installed a satellite TV dish. We have numerous resources demonstrating this process, and trained support personnel to answer any of your questions, now or in the future. For assistance, please call us at 1-800-568-2723.
How Does the weBoost Home Studio Work?
It’s simple. The weBoost Home Studio uses a Yagi directional antenna to pull in 3G, 4G, and LTE signals. For optimal results, the antenna must point in the direction of your closest cell tower. The Home Studio amplifier then enhances the captured signal, and the inside whip antenna broadcasts the boosted signal for all cellular devices within its coverage area. The amount of coverage the Home Studio provides depends on your outside signal strength and indoor building material.

Why should I buy the weBoost Home Studio?
The weBoost Home Studio is made for budget-conscious applications where enhanced localized coverage is needed. It can cover up to a very large room in optimal situations or a medium-sized room under decent signal. With weak signal, you will see localized coverage of around 200 sq ft.
The weBoost Home Studio covers all North American carriers and on numerous devices, so it can cover a team of workers or the whole family.
For multiple room coverage, consider the weBoost Home MultiRoom.
Do I need the standard Home Studio or the Installer Bundle? What’s the difference?
The Home Studio + Installer Bundle includes a lighting surge protector, two extra ft of RG6 cable, and a pole mount. These accessories will help protect your system from lightning surges, as well as make installation even easier.
If you plan on installing the outdoor antenna on the fascia or an existing pole, opting for the standard Home Studio and purchasing a lighting surge protector separately will be slightly more cost-effective. On the other hand, if you can't install the antenna on the fascia or don't have a pole on your roof you can use, the Installer Bundle is for you. Plus, you’ll save 10% on all bundled accessories.
Can I use more than one indoor antenna with the Home Studio?
While possible, we do not recommend it. The Home Studio is not designed to handle multiple indoor antennas. If you need to use multiple antennas, consider a signal booster that features at least 65dB gain as they are better equipped to handle more than one antenna.
Please call us at 1-800-568-2723 if you need signal booster recommendations or have additional questions.
Does the Home Studio work in an RV?
The Home Studio is designed for in-home use, so we don’t recommend using it in an RV. For RV cell phone signal boosters, click here.
Can I use the Home Studio in an apartment?
Yes. The Home Studio will work in any stationary location, such as an apartment, townhome, condo, warehouse, metal building, office, home, etc. For optimal results, make sure there is enough distance between the two antennas.
What’s the difference between the weBoost Home Studio and the weBoost Home Room?
Both the weBoost Home Studio and Home Room have up to 60 dB gain and provide similar coverage. The Home Studio, however:
- Supports Sprint’s frequency band 25
- Features a relatively easier installation
- Includes a Yagi outdoor antenna and an indoor whip antenna rather than an outdoor panel antenna and an indoor desktop antenna
- Does not include a flat coaxial cable to run under a window, but it can be purchased separately
