How do indoor antennas work?
Indoor cellular antennas receive amplified cellular signals and broadcast them. The amount of coverage they provide depends on existing signal strength and indoor obstacles.
What’s the difference between panel antennas and dome antennas?
Panel antennas are directional. They transmit cellular signals in a 45° to 70° beam. Since their signal is concentrated in a single direction, they are more powerful. Dome antennas are omnidirectional. They are ceiling-mounted and broadcast cellular signals in a 360° beam. If getting uniform signal throughout a space is important to you, a dome antenna is your best option.
When is it best to use a desktop antenna?
Desktop antennas are best used for single room or spot coverage. They are typically paired with cell phone signal boosters for small homes and RVs.
Do I need a 50 Ohm or 75 Ohm indoor antenna?
That depends on your signal booster system. 50 Ohm indoor antennas pair best with 50 Ohm signal boosters, and 75 Ohm indoor antennas pair best with 75 Ohm signal boosters.
Can I use multiple indoor antennas to maximize coverage?
Yes. Check out our antenna expansion kits to easily expand your coverage. However, additional antennas are not recommended in all situations. Please call us at 1-800-568-2723 for a free consultation.
