Yes. Your cell phone, hotspot, or other cellular-enabled device must be in the cradle to receive boosted cell signal.
The adjustable cradle fits any device between 5.1’’ and 7.5’’ long.
If your GPS device uses a cellular connection and fits in the Drive Sleek OTR cradle, it can enhance the signal for better performance.
Unless you have a metal case, removing the phone case is not needed. Metal blocks cell signal, so it may prevent your phone from receiving maximum amplification.
The only difference between the two kits is the external antenna. The Drive Sleek includes a standard magnet mount fin outdoor antenna, while Drive Sleek OTR includes an OTR antenna. The OTR antenna requires a fixed installation and is designed for trucks and semis.
