The weBoost Drive X is compatible with all vehicle types – from cars to boats. To fit any vehicle application, the Drive X works with a wide range of outdoor antennas to provide reliable in-vehicle coverage.
Drive X for Cars and SUVs:
The Standard Drive X is ideal for cars, SUVs, vans, etc. It comes with a mini magnet antenna that easily attaches to the roof of any vehicle. While small, it works great in urban, suburban, and some rural areas. The Drive X Refurbished is a more economical version of the standard – same great results guaranteed. For more gain and better signal quality in weak signal environments, consider the Drive X with the 12" antenna.
Drive X for RVs
The Drive X RV is perfect for all RV classes and towable trailers while in motion or parked. Rather than using a magnet mount antenna, it utilizes a durable, hard-mount, spring base RV antenna. The spring and fixed installation add flexibility and security just in case the antenna makes contact with low branches or anything else, ensuring a reliable connection without interruptions.
Drive X for Trucks and Semis:
The Drive X paired with an OTR antenna (aka Trucker Bundle) is the perfect combo for large trucks, semi-trucks, overlanders, etc. The antenna features an all-weather, all-terrain construction that meets current U.S. Military and NEMA IP66 standards. Regardless of on or off road conditions, drivers and passengers will receive superior signal.
Drive X for Fleet Vehicles
The Drive X with an NMO antenna is perfect for fleet vehicles – cars, trucks, vans, or SUVs. The antenna requires a permanent installation on the roof of the vehicle, ensuring it stays in place at all times for constant connectivity.
Drive X for Boats
Coupling the Drive X with a marine antenna makes a wonderful configuration for boats, yachts, and any other marine vehicles. With this setup, you can expect reliable coverage up to 3 miles offshore.
The weBoost Drive X cellular signal booster is a simple, effective solution to maintain continuous communication for all cellular-enabled devices – smartphones, tablets, etc - in your car, truck, van, RV, or boat.

How does the Drive X work?
The Drive X works in 3 simple steps:
- The outside antenna, whether it’s a magnet mount or a hard mount, pulls in weak 4G LTE and 3G signals.
- The Drive X amplifier boosts the signal.
- The inside antenna broadcasts the boosted signal inside your car, truck, SUV, RV, or boat.

Why should I buy the Drive X?
The weBoost Drive X is a favorite value signal booster for vehicles, including cars, SUVs, trucks, semis, RVs, boats, and more.
It’s an affordable, multi-user amplifier capable of communicating with relatively far distant towers for reliable cell signal on urban, suburban, and some rural roads. You and your passengers will be able to enjoy crystal clear voice quality, faster data, and longer battery life.
The Drive X is less powerful than its sister booster, the weBoost Drive Reach. If you find yourself driving in extremely rural, off-the-grid areas, we recommend that.

How much coverage does the Drive X provide?
In-vehicle coverage all depends on your outside signal strength. In strong signal areas, you can get up to full cabin coverage. However, while driving in weak signal areas, your mobile device may need to be about an arm's length (or closer) to the indoor antenna.
Indoor coverage for RVs is different since the Drive X RV kit utilizes different antenna configurations. In general, you can get up to 10 ft of coverage from the inside antenna in strong signal areas. The weaker the outside signal becomes, the closer you’ll need to be to the inside antenna.
What’s the difference between all Drive X Kits?
The main difference between all Drive X kits comes down to the external antennas. Each antenna is specially designed to fit different vehicle applications for optimal performance. For more details, refer to the Drive X Vehicle Applications tab.
What’s the difference between the Drive X and the Drive Reach?
In short, the Drive X is less powerful than the Drive Reach, making the Drive Reach better suited for extremely weak signal environments. For more details, visit our Blog for the full scoop.
What’s the difference between the Drive X and Drive 4G-X?
The Drive X is an upgraded version of the now-discontinued Drive 4G-X.
Do the Drive X kits only work in vehicles?
Yes. The Drive X kits are designed for passenger vehicles only (cars, SUVs, trucks, RVs, etc.). It is not recommended to use any Drive X configuration in residential buildings. Check out our home boosters for residential use.
