We have two main power option available: DC plug (cigarette lighter), or a hardwire power supply. Both are bundled with RV-designated signal boosters. However, certain signal boosters not designed specifically for RVs will only come with a DC power supply.
This is ok if you want your cigarette lighter power supply taken up by your booster, but many of our RV customers prefer hardwire power supplies, since you won’t have to think about them again. Let us know what you want, and we can make them available for you.
For RVs, it all depends on if you’re stationary or in motion.
In motion, you’ll be using some sort of omnidirectional antenna. These antennas are used because the vehicle is likely to change direction frequently, so you’ll always be pulling in signal no matter which direction you’re going. It provides less power and range than a stationary antenna, but is necessary while driving.
While stationary, you’ll want to use a yagi antenna. The Connect RV 65 comes with a standard Wilson yagi antenna, but if you’re really remote you might consider an even more powerful High Gain LPDA antenna. Either way, this is your best option if you spend most of your time parked, at a campsite, or otherwise stationary.
