The Peplink Max Transit Pro Duo has two LTE modems. Each modem supports up to 2 SIM cards, allowing the router to access multiple cellular networks. The provided LTE antennas capture existing LTE signals from up to two carriers at the same time. The captured cell signal is then converted into reliable internet. Users can connect via WiFi or Ethernet. If your main LTE connections go down, the router switches to a secondary SIM for continuous uptime.
The Max Transit Pro Duo is optimized for vehicle applications. However, it can also be deployed in home offices, shops, and restaurants.
The main differences between the two LTE modems are speed and supported frequencies.
The LTE CAT 7 modem offers download speeds up to 300 Mbps and upload speeds up to 150 Mbps. It supports LTE frequency bands 2, 4, 5, 7, 12, 13, 14, 25, 26, 41, 42, 43, 48, 66, 71. Works best with T-Mobile and Verizon.
The LTE CAT 12 modem offers download speeds up to 600 Mbps and upload speeds up to 150 Mbps. It supports LTE frequency bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 26, 29, 30, 32, 41, 42, 43, 46, 48, 66. Works best with AT&T and Verizon.
Band 71 is only supported by the LTE CAT 7 modem.
Yes. Both LTE modems support FirstNet frequency bands.
The Max Transit Pro Duo has a rated throughput of 1 Gbps. Modem 1 offers speeds up to 300 Mbps, and modem 2 offers speeds up to 600 Mbps. Maximum speed, however, is theoretical. Actual results will depend on your data plan and signal strength.
It uses Nano-SIM cards (4FF).
Yes. It's complimentary for the 1st year.
No. With two modems, the Transit Max Pro Duo can support two simultaneous connections. While you may have four active SIM cards, only two can be used at a time. The other two add redundancy for continuous connectivity.
PrimeCare is Peplink's subscription service bundling InControl, Warranty, SpeedFusion license upgrades, and FusionHub Licenses in one neat package.
