Long Island’s Premier Destination for Outpatient Orthopedic Surgery Had Unusable Cell Signal in their Building

THE PROBLEM

Surgery requires expertise. At Precision Cares Surgery Center, their experts had a problem – they couldn’t get reliable cell signal in-building. With little to no service, their patients and surgeons frequently opted for different healthcare options. They contacted Proven IT to solve their problem, who in turn contacted Wilson Amplifiers.

THE SOLUTION

The experts at Wilson Amplifiers determined based on outside signal conditions and the layout of the Surgery Center that the best solution was two WilsonPro Enterprise 1300 signal amplifiers. Wall-mounted versions of the amplifiers were installed in IDFs/Telecom closets and 9 broadcasting dome antennas were distributed throughout the facility.

The donor antennas were placed in free-standing mounts on the roof, secured by cinder blocks. Cabling was UV rated, low-loss coaxial with 2-inch roof penetrations above the IDF closet. All penetrations and connectors were weatherproofed. The installation was completed by the Wilson Amplifiers install team in three business days.
