Why Must the Lid Stay Open During Operation?

Three reasons: The directional panel antenna that broadcasts the boosted signal is mounted on the lid. For optimal results, the antenna must face the direction better cell signal is needed. You need room to lift the LTE router's antennas, allowing it to send and receive the best signals. Having the lid open adds the necessary space needed between the panel and whip antennas to avoid oscillation.

Product Overview

The Portable Signal Unit is the first battery-powered signal booster and cellular router combo on the market. It pairs the weBoost Home Room and Peplink BR1 Mini CAT7 Cellular Router to deliver reliable cellular and fast WiFi anywhere life, work, or emergencies take you.

Everything you need can be found in the two-wheeled, heavy-duty case for easy setup and portability.

The Home Room boosts poor outside cell signal by up to +60 dB for all cellular devices, including the BR1 Mini. WiFi performance is much better than that of a hotspot. Take it anywhere and enjoy uninterrupted calls and data speeds of up to 300 Mbps. For optimal results, lid must remain open during operation.

With two rechargeable lithium batteries, the PSU ensures up to 18 hours of operation without electricity. Built-in AC power port allows power outlet connectivity. Power machines and charge devices with the included power strip and USB ports. It's perfect for camping, remote working, temporary job sites, outage events, and more.

How Does it Work?

The PSU is powered by M18 lithium batteries, or by an external power source. When turned on:

The Yagi antenna captures your existing outside cell signal and feeds it to the weBoost Home Room.
The weBoost Home Room boosts the signal and sends it to the panel antenna.
The panel antenna on the lid broadcasts the boosted signal to all nearby cellular devices. This includes the cellular router.
The Peplink BR1 Mini CAT7 Cellular Router uses the boosted signal to deliver strong wired or wireless internet.
