5Ge Signal Boosters: Boost Your AT&T 5Ge Coverage at Home, Office, or Car
What is 5Ge from AT&T?
5Ge or 5G Evolution is AT&T's term for its gigabit LTE service also known as LTE-A. While traditional LTE has a peak download speed of 100Mbit/s. LTE-A or gigabit LTE has a top download speed of 1Gbit/s.
That's up to 10X in performance!
We fix poor cell phone signal! Find the right signal booster for you:
While all manufacturers are sticking to calling it LTE-Advanced or LTE Plus, AT&T has decided to label it '5G E' on most modern smartphones.
So, are 5G and 5Ge the same?
Yes and no. Technically, it's 4G LTE on steroids. However, it was the first and crucial step to building out AT&T's 5G network.
So whether you call it advanced 4G LTE or early 5G, there's one thing you can't deny, it's fast.
A simple test on three smartphones on AT&T 5Ge, T-Mobile, and Sprint showed a dramatic speed difference:
Carrier | Download Speed | Upload Speed |
AT&T 5Ge | 28 Mbps | 21 Mbps |
T-Mobile LTE | 21 Mbps | 2.5 Mbps |
Sprint LTE | 4.8 Mbps | 1 Mbps |
That's 34% faster on downloads and 836% faster on uploads against T-Mobile based on this quick test.
What is a 5Ge Signal Booster?
A cell signal booster takes any existing 5G (on select frequencies), 5Ge (AT&T) and 4G LTE (all carriers) signal and amplifies up to 32X and then rebroadcasts the boosted signal into the home, office, or vehicle.
It's simple: more bars, better service.
- Better Coverage: Think of a signal booster like a megaphone. It takes what you have and multiplies the performance.
- Reliable Reception: No more dropped calls, spotty service, and low quality calls.
- Consistent Service: Fast internet data, uploads, and downloads.
Your 5Ge Signal Booster Guarantees:
- Works for 5G, 5Ge, and 4G LTE service on AT&T.
- Works for other carriers: Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Boost Mobile, and other carriers.
- Works for all phones & cellular devices.
- Complete kits, easy to install.
- No monthly fees, no need to connect to WiFi.

AT&T 5Ge Signal Booster For Home
Our Pick: weBoost Home MultiRoom for AT&T 5G E - 470144
For midsize homes and offices with a strong outside signal or small homes with poor outside signal.
Buy Now at $569.99- 5G ready booster. Amplifies 5Ge (AT&T) and 4G LTE (all carriers) signals
- Covers up to 5,000 sq ft
- Up to +65 dB Gain
- Works with ALL cellular devices across ALL carriers

The weBoost Home MultiRoom is the most popular cellular amplifier, capable of amplifying 5G (across certain frequencies), 5Ge, and 4G LTE signals for multiple cellular devices across all carriers.
With its maximum gain of +65 dB, it can cover areas up to 5,000 sq ft under best conditions. And since the average home size in North America is around 2,500 sq ft, the Home MultiRoom is a great fit for most homes. However, coverage depends on the strength of your outside signal. So, if your outside signal is below average or very weak, you will most likely get between 2,000 – 3,000 sq ft, a little less for rural areas.
Not to mention, the booster features a maximum uplink output of 21 dBm, allowing the booster to reach relatively far distanced towers for a stronger in-building signal, making it a good option for people in the city or the countryside where tower distance is the number one problem.

The weBoost Installed Home Complete is the most powerful multi-carrier home booster and the only one that includes a professional installation. If you would rather install the booster yourself, we also offer a Do-It-Yourself version.
It’s highly recommended for people who live in remote areas where having a consistent AT&T 5Ge signal feels impossible, as well as those who don’t struggle with a reliable connection outside their home but experience spotty AT&T signals inside.
Under perfect conditions, the Installed Home Complete can cover homes and offices up to 7,500 sq ft. Weak signal areas might get between 4,000 to 6,000 sq ft of coverage. Keep in mind, though, that coverage can vary based on your outside signal strength. And, with its powerful uplink output power of 24 dBm, it can reach far distanced towers, much further than the Home MultiRoom, to provide you with superior service indoors.
Budget: weBoost Home Studio for AT&T 5G E - 470166
- 5G ready booster. Amplifies 5Ge (AT&T) and 4G LTE (all carriers) signals.
- Covers up to 2,000 sq ft

The Home Studio can cover areas up to 2,000 sq ft under perfect conditions. However, if you have weak outside signal, expect between 200 to 500 sq ft – enough for 1-2 rooms. It’ll work best in urban and suburban areas but is not the strongest performer in remote locations. For wider coverage, consider the weBoost Home MultiRoom.
AT&T 5Ge Signal Booster For Cars
Our Pick: weBoost Drive X for AT&T 5G E - 475021

- Boosts 5Ge (AT&T) and 4G (all carriers) signals. 5G Ready.

More often than not, you have to be about an arm's length from the inside antenna to benefit from the boosted signal, so it's best for your typical sedan, truck, or SUV. Different Drive X kits are available for different types of vehicles, such as RVs, large trucks, and boats.
The Drive X has an great range, meaning it can reach relatively far distanced towers to provide you with better cellular signal inside your vehicle whether you’re driving in the city or through rural roads.

It also features different kits to get the range you need for any type of vehicle.
So, for those extreme cases of poor AT&T reception, the Drive Reach is the way to go.
Budget: weBoost Drive Sleek for AT&T 5G E - 470135

The weBoost Drive Sleek is an entry-level vehicle booster capable of boosting one cellular device at a time.
The kit includes a magnetic vent mount for easy installation and an adjustable cradle that can fit any size phone or small tablet. To receive boosted 5Ge signals, your smartphone must be sitting in the cradle. Perfect for hands-free calling and navigation.
It's ideal for people who heavily rely on their cellular device while driving. It’ll work best in urban and suburban areas, but it's not the strongest performer in extremely rural areas. However, as long as you have a sliver of signal, the Drive Sleek will not let you down.

FAQ
Is my phone compatible with 5G E?
It's simple, if you have '5G E' on your screen, then your phone is compatible. Most modern smartphones like iPhones (iPhone XS and up) updated to iOS 12.2 and the latest Android phones should be able to see 5G E as AT&T rolls out the updates.
What's the difference between 5G and 5Ge?
5G, the global standard as set by the 3GPP aka the real 5G, is expected to launch in 2020. Until then, carriers like AT&T are pre-building their 5G networks and in the interim calling their pre-5G services as 5Ge.
Although it is technically LTE-advanced, it's peak speed does get into the low end of 5G territory.
So it is 5G-ish.
Will an AT&T 5Ge Signal Booster also improve my AT&T hotspot device?
Absolutely.
If your AT&T mobile hotspot routers use 5Ge and 4G LTE then it will work!
From the Nighthawk LTE to AT&T Wireless Internet router, it'll get better signal and speeds, especially if the AT&T router has an external antenna port that can directly connect to the AT&T signal booster.
What if I switch carriers in the future?
Our AT&T signal boosters from Wilson Electronics (weBoost & WilsonPro) are multi-carrier systems. This means they are also compatible with Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and other major and local carriers.
They are future-proof!
When will the real AT&T 5G service launch?
AT&T first launched its 5G network December 2018. It is now available nationwide. You can read more about it here.
Will the real 5G make my AT&T signal booster obsolete?
Nope.
4G LTE is still being built out across North America. If fact, 4G LTE is the backbone of the nation's wireless service. It's not going anywhere anytime soon, AND it's getting faster thanks to LTE-advanced (aka 5G E).
4G LTE is expected to peak in 2030-2035. So...come back in a decade and ask the same question and we might hava a different answer by then.
